Reiki is a system of healing developed in early 20th century Japan.
Reiki is a non-invasive, safe and gentle healing modality that gives your body the energy it needs to heal itself naturally. It works to release blockages and then restores balance to your body.
A typical session will be carried out with the recipient lying down or seated, in a comfortable and peaceful environment. The recipient will remain fully clothed, with only shoes and jewellery (except wedding band) being removed. You will be covered with a light blanket for comfort and relaxation.
During the session, the Practitioner connects with Reiki and channels the energy to the recipient. This transfer is actioned by the practitioner placing their hands on or above the client's main energy points (or chakras). The practitioner may also work on any other non-intimate areas where they detect energy blockages. The position of the hands is non-intrusive and should not cause any discomfort. There is no massage or manipulation involved.

How many sessions are required?
Your practitioner may suggest a series of sessions. Three sessions are a traditional recommendation, as this will enhance your self-healing ability and give you time to evaluate what benefits you are receiving. This will be discussed with your practitioner, how best to space the sessions to suit your needs and your schedule.
