Lubica Stubnova BSc (Hons)
Born in Slovakia, I am a fully qualified acupuncturist graduated from the London South Bank University with a BSc (Hons) in Chinese medicine – Acupuncture.
I have come from a pharmacy background having worked over 23 years' experience in the field. While working in a pharmacy I always had been attracted to natural remedies, and eventually I have turned my interest towards East-Asian medicine. In 2013 I decided to change my profession and started to study Traditional Chinese Medicine.
I have been fortunate to be mentored by Chinese acupuncture experts of Confucius Institute of TCM in London which has given me a great understanding of ancient Chinese medicine and how to apply that knowledge in my practice.
I practise TCM acupuncture based on Five Phase Theory seeing a person as a wholeness with a focus on underlying cause having always in mind the connection between body, mind and spirit.
Typically, my patients are people aged 30-60 who have a challenge of high stress around their job, and they struggle with frequent headaches or migraines, sleeping disorders, tiredness, anxiety, depression, digestive problems, IBS etc. I can help them utilising acupuncture in conjunction with moxibustion, Tui Na massage, and cupping therapy to optimise the treatment effect. Also, I can give them advice in nutrition, diet and lifestyle to support the treatment outcome.
My patient can expect an attentive and listening ear, calm atmosphere of healing, gentle effective approach of providing therapy and compassionate care.
I am a registered therapist with Aviva, AXA, VitalityHealth via Private Practice Register
